Founded in 2000 on Australia’s Gold Coast with a vision to deliver premium fiberglass swimming pools that exceeded industry norms, David Pain, Explore’s Global CEO, and his father, Kerry Pain, Global Chairman, built their first fiberglass pool molds, started business as Leisure Pools, and established their first Dealer Network. As demand increased, the team relocated production to a larger facility in Yatala, Queensland (Australia) in 2003, then began international exports to North America in 2004.

The following years brought increased growth and new pool brand introductions, as well as expansions across Australasia and Europe, culminating in the establishment of the world’s largest fiberglass swimming pool manufacturing facility, situated on 84 acres on a beautiful island in Knoxville, Tennessee. Since then, the growing portfolio consolidated under a new brand, Explore Industries, capturing its expansive global vision and positioning the company to better serve its growing Dealer Network for years to come.
